A night off in the Beaches neighbourhood well spent.

I'll remember this one. The bride asked me to play "Forever And For Always" by @shaniatwain as she made her entrance, as it was the very first song she ever danced to with her dad, who recently passed away. Her brothers walked her down the aisle and there wasn't a dry eye in the house as a result, including the officiant. That was special. It's good to be back. 2nd slide from another great gig from earlier in the day!

Want to know why I'm looking a bit happily baffled? After over a year of musical pandemic hell, I'm now officially booked every weekend from this past July 10th all the way through to November, with new booking requests coming in daily! Public gigs at bars are still a little ways away, but once they're added to the schedule it will be glorious getting to bring people I love back together for a fun night out. To all the other artists who I know are also revelling in the return of our art form, enjoy every note! If you want live music for your wedding, gathering, etc, contact info is in my bio. Of all the music venues to shut down during the pandemic, the @londonmusicclub hits the hardest for me. I owe Pete and the venue so much for how this little spot really helped turn me into a performing artist, which led to a career. Their open mic nights were some of the earliest opportunities I ever had to perform for other people, trying to get a grasp of whether I was any good, I threw my CD release party there a decade ago (when this photo was taken), filmed a bunch of music videos in their different rooms (Sing, Lana Mashup, Magic), met some amazing artists that I now call friends. This is a big loss for the London music scene.

Fully vaccinated! Wish we could have told mid-2020 us we'd have both shots by mid June, definitely wouldn't have believed it. Never been prouder to flaunt a farmer's tan. Shoutouts to everyone doing the right thing and getting their shots, masking up and helping keep their community safe. We're so close to beating this thing. Group hugs coming soon.

I recently joined a run club to help with recovery after having surgery on both legs last fall, and to train for my first marathon. Hoping to be ready by spring of next year, pending good health! Throwing in lengthy trail runs has been challenging but fun. Helps that the runner's gym (aka outdoors) is open 365 days a year. More than anything it's just been great to meet some cool new people after a very quiet year socially. Ps spot the one person without the fancy running watch. #PhoneGPSftw
